List of awards and nominations received by Lost

''Lost'' is an American drama series that has aired on ABC from September 22, 2004 until May 23, 2010. It has been nominated for a variety of different awards including 54 Primetime Emmy Awards (eleven wins for the series), 48 Saturn Awards (thirteen wins), 33 Teen Choice Awards, 12 Golden Reel Awards (five wins), eight Satellite Awards (one win), seven Golden Globe Awards (one win), six Writers Guild of America Awards (one win), five Directors Guild of America Awards, two NAACP Image Awards (one win), two Screen Actors Guild Awards (one win) and a BAFTA Award. Amongst the wins for the series are a Primetime Emmy Award for "Outstanding Drama Series", a Golden Globe Award for "Best Television Series – Drama", a Screen Actors Guild Award for "Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Drama Series" and a Peabody Award.
The series has an ensemble cast and several different ''Lost'' actors have received acting award nominations. Terry O'Quinn and Michael Emerson are the only actors to win Emmy Awards while Matthew Fox has been nominated for eighteen individual awards (winning three), the most of any cast members, Evangeline Lilly is second with fifteen nominations. "Pilot" is the most nominated single episode of the series, receiving nominations for fifteen different awards, winning six, including four Emmy Awards. "Through the Looking Glass" is the second most nominated episode, with nine. "The End" received the most Emmy nominations for a single episode with eight, winning one. ''Lost'' has been nominated for over 250 awards and has won 57.
==Emmy Awards==
In 2005, ''Lost'' was nominated for twelve Primetime Emmy Awards and won six, including "Outstanding Directing For A Drama Series" for series co-creator J.J. Abrams and four Emmys for the pilot episode. The show also won "Outstanding Drama Series", which was considered a surprise win because the Emmys had rarely recognized science fiction or fantasy shows in the category. The following year, the series was nominated for nine Emmys but failed to win any. Despite winning for "Outstanding Drama Series" the previous year, ''Lost'' was not nominated in the category in 2006. This was referenced in host Conan O'Brien's opening segment for the 2006 Emmy Awards where he lands on a beach and discovers Jorge Garcia. O'Brien jumps into a hatch and invites Garcia to come along to the ceremony, but Garcia says "we weren't exactly invited," to which O'Brien responds: "but you won last year, nothing makes sense anymore!"〔 〕 In 2007, ''Lost'' was nominated for six Emmys but again failed to gain a nomination for "Outstanding Drama Series". Terry O'Quinn became the first ''Lost'' actor to win an Emmy Award, picking up a trophy for "Outstanding Supporting Actor – Drama Series" for his performance as John Locke in "The Man from Tallahassee". In 2008 the show gained eight Emmy Award nominations, of which six were Creative Arts Emmys,〔 and won the award for Sound Mixing.〔 In 2009, ''Lost'' received six nominations and won two. Michael Emerson became the second actor from ''Lost'' to win the award for "Best Supporting Actor in a Drama Series". The website DharmaWantsYou.com won a special award for "Outstanding Creative Achievement in Interactive Media - Fiction". In 2010, the final season of ''Lost'' received thirteen nominations, including a fourth "Outstanding Drama Series" nomination, which it lost to ''Mad Men'' as in the two previous years. The show won one award for Editing for the final episode.
